Micromax Canvas Tab P666 With 8-Inch Display, Intel SoC Launched at Rs. 10,999
Micromax in partnership with Intel has launched a new 8-inch Android
tablet called the Canvas Tab P666, priced at Rs. 10,999 ($180 US). The new tablet
from Micromax will be available starting Saturday, November 29 through
online and offline retail stores.
Notably, the Micromax Canvas Tab P666 is the first tablet from the popular handset maker packing an Intel chipset. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Processor Z2520 (4 threads, 1MB Cache) coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The tablet runs Android4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box and features an 8-inch IPS display with a WXGA (1200x800 pixels) resolution. The Canvas Tab P666 comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage that is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
It sports a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera that can record full-HD (1080p) videos. There is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The Canvas Tab P666 supports 3G connectivity via single SIM (Micro-SIM). Other connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB.
The Micromax Canvas Tab P666 is backed by a 4400mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 325 hours of standby time. The company says the new Micromax tablet sports a "glass finish and metal edges." It weighs in at 310 grams while measuring 7.9mm thin.
