OnePlus One smartphone open sale on Amazon tomorrow
Amazon India has announced the first-ever open sale of OnePlus One
smartphones on February 10 at 10 am to celebrate the completion of 10
weeks of OnePlus in India.
Customers are not required to have an invite to purchase the smartphone during the sale. The sale would be for limited quantity, which is expected to stock out quickly given the high demand for the phone. Till now, the sale of OnePlus One phones on Amazon.in was based on an invite-only model, which has seen overwhelmingly positive response from customers.
OnePlus One is priced at Rs 21,999, which gets a real edge when you consider that this 5.5-inch Full HD phone comes with a 64GB internal memory. The other USP of the phone, the Cyanogenmod operating system, however, has been lost to Micromax after the Indian smartphone maker managed an exclusive deal with Cyanogen just days before the OnePlus One India launch.
The first batch of phones coming from OnePlus in India had the Cyanogenmod OS as well as the co-branding. However, the branding was removed in subsequent batches. Those buying the first phones got the chance to update to the new OS.
